SASS 102737

These bullets will NOT cycle in an 1873 rifle if they were crimped at the groove, i.e., they are too short. They will cycle in 1873 if you make them longer with the groove protruding beyond the brass casing which is not the way I prefer to load my bullets. I would not use these bullets in a real match. I bought 13 boxes of 500 based on the 5-star rating with a comment that they work well in 1873. It must be getting close to X'mas as I would have normally ordered a sample pack to try them out first. I will just use them at the club shoots on the weekends. Lol

Love these bullets, Have used Trail Boss and Clean Shot with no issues, Smooth feed in my '73

Q: Are these bullets ok for cowboy action shooting? 3.1 grn of Hogdon Trail Boss. Other bullets I've used have BHN of 12 and your bullets are 16. Using these in pistols and rifles. Do you see any issues?

A: These bullets work great for Cowboy Shooting. 90% of our customers are cowboy shooters. I have been using them for years, since we started making them, my SASS # is 5164 Wyoming and Colorado State champions use our bullets. I load Tite Group and have never used Trail Boss but I know Cobra Cat, Colorado State champ and 2014 National champ use my 105 grain and Trail Boss Powder.
